Welcome to the Department of Engineering and Facilities Management
The Department of Engineering & Facilities Management is responsible for the following functions within the Town:
Survey and Engineering design for Town projects
Management of Town construction projects
Review of site work and land disturbances performed as part of a building permit
Review and issuance of land disturbance and tree removal permits
Implementation of the Town's Stormwater Management Program" and enforcement of the Town's Stormwater Management regulations
Review of commercial site plans and residential subdivisions for technical sufficiency
Inspection of commercial sites and residential subdivisions for compliance with approved plans
Review and issuance of Floodplain Development permits
Operation and maintenance of Town-owned grounds and facilities including Town Hall, the Police and Courts Building, Town garage, community recreation centers and parks.
Operation and maintenance of the Town's sanitary sewer collection system
Operation, maintenance and oversight of the Town's closed sanitary landfill
Oversight of the Town's household garbage and bulk pickup contract and recycling contract.
